Statham Sunflower Festival

We will set up a Demonstration Booth on Saturday the 18th of September.  We will begin setup at 7 AM, the Festival will run from 8 AM to 5 PM that day.  We will secure our booth at or about 5 PM, or earlier depending on the crowd.

We Need Club Participation – Folks stopping by to work the booth, hand out brochures and ham radio literature and answer questions.

We will have one HF transceiver and at least a 40 meter dipole (also usable for 15 meters) and may add a set of 20 meter wires to it.  We will run off battery power, have the banner up (I hope to have the new one by then), a couple easels with BARES photos and such, and of course club pamphlets and more general information for the public.

We will be using the Clubs Pop-up Shelter, and we have requested a site on top of the hill there.

We may run CW, RTTY (rx only) , PSK31 (rx only), and of course SSB.  We will use the club callsign, and everybody is welcome to come and make some contacts.  

For setup and tear down we’ll need 4 people or so, let me know if you can make it for setup or teardown, or come and operate.
