2010 Testing Fee Unchanged
The W5YI-VEC will maintain the $14 exam fees charged applicants to take amateur examinations for 2010.
New Technician Question Pool Effective 7/1/10
The NCVEC Question Pool Committee has just released a second version of the Element 2 Technician Pool, dated February 1, 2010. The QPC released their official public release of the 2010 Technician Pool on January 4, 2010. The new pool that becomes effective for all amateur examinations on July 1, 2010, has 396 questions compared to the existing pool of 391 that expires June 30, 2010. The major change appears to be a lot of new questions in the syllabus sections on electronic theory with a total of 7 diagrams on the new 2010 exams.
The Barrow Amateur Radio Club VE team in accordance with W5YI-VEC and ARRL-VEC, will begin using the new Technician question pool at our Saturday, July 17th session as this will be the first session after the release of the new pool on July 1, 2010.
